About MonoDesign-NY
I am a Tokyo-born, New York-based graphic designer with a background in fine art and visual composition.
My visual training began in Japan, through the rigorous foundation programs at art preparatory schools and continued at a Japanese art university, where I studied drawing, spatial balance, and composition. Since relocating to New York in 2013, I’ve continued to refine my aesthetic sensibility through independent practice and creative projects.
Through my own work, I’ve come to value not just what we make, but how we frame and present it.
I see design as a quiet but powerful tool: not to decorate, but to create an atmosphere that speaks clearly, even in silence.
東京生まれ、ニューヨーク在住のグラフィックデザイナーです。
日本では、美術予備校での厳しい基礎トレーニングを経て、美術大学に進学し、デッサン・空間構成・視覚的バランスについて体系的に学びました。
2013年に渡米して以降は、アーティストとしての自主制作やプロジェクトを通じて、審美眼や表現力をさらに磨います。
制作を重ねるなかで、「何をつくるか」だけでなく「どう見せるか」「どのように届けるか」という視点の重要さを強く意識するようになりました。
デザインとは、戦略の一環 ー ターゲットに的確に意図をビジュアル手段だと考えています。
